About: Wintergreen’s aroma is minty-fresh and sweet with powerful top notes. Best known for its soothing properties, Wintergreen is often found in massage oils for muscle and joint relief. The oil is unique as it contains over 99% methyl salicylate, making it less chemically diverse than other essential oils. The concentration of this compound requires caution: do not use during pregnancy or around children or pets.

Common Uses: For muscle and joint discomfort, topically apply 2 drops Wintergreen and 3 drops Helichrysum essential oils with 15 drops carrier oil. For respiratory and sinus support, add Wintergreen to vapor rubs or diffusion blends.

Blending Recommendations: Wintergreen has a strong minty-sweet aroma and is used as a middle to top note in blending. It goes well with woody and minty essential oils.
